Position Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join our dynamic Truck Fleet team at Ryder. This role is pivotal in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

  • Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: Earn $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1250 after 30 days and another $1250 after 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance.
  • At least two years of combined classroom training and work experience is preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to pass a series of Ryder assessments, including a drug test and a DOT physical.

Important Note: Additional screenings may be required depending on the position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Conducting standard inspections and repairs.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues.
  • Identifying root causes of failures and executing repairs.
  • Assisting in facility maintenance duties.
  • Engaging with customers to analyze and resolve issues.
  • Following all safety and compliance guidelines.
