Specific Qualifications:

• Experience with JBOSS and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with messaging solutions such as ActiveMQ or Kafka.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS or ROSA (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with OOP concepts in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of SQL querying languages.
• Experience building test automation frameworks from the ground up (e.g., POM design pattern).
• Proficiency with source control tools (GitHub, GitLab, AWS CodeCommit).
• Ability to create and maintain automated test jobs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused, proactive, and adaptable to evolving tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications (Competitive Edge):
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, AWS CodePipeline, and CloudFormation.
• Solid data modeling skills for DB2, SQL (Oracle), and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with automated UI and API testing using Java, JavaScript, Python, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.
• Experience automating backend REST services and writing custom functions (Postman, ReadyAPI, REST Assured).
• Experience working in distributed Agile teams (SCRUM, SAFe, XP).
• Skilled in generating test reports using tools like Cucumber or Extent Reports.
• Background in the Travel Industry is a plus.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Familiarity with service virtualization tools (WireMock, Mockito).
• Experience with test management tools such as VersionOne or qTest.
• Experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, OpenShift, AWS CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of non-functional testing (performance, load, stress, security, compliance, usability).

Responsibilities:
• Develop highly efficient and effective software using Java, C#, Python, .NET, Spring Boot, Microservices, and APIs.
• Enhance and maintain on-prem and internal PaaS applications, transitioning these to AWS per project timelines.
• Design and implement serverless patterns from containerized applications.
• Build and manage industry-standard APIs, including establishing, consuming, and routing calls, connectivity protocols, and policy.
• Design and develop architecture patterns optimized for SLAs, reliability, and cost.
• Anticipate technical implications and long-term impacts of immediate architectural choices.
• Promote a culture of software craftsmanship, TDD/BDD, and test automation (unit and integration).
• Drive performance improvements through monitoring, analysis, and proactive resolution of issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and privacy regulations throughout development.
• Identify, address, and prevent technical debt.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies-sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives-to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate effectively across teams, communicating critical information clearly and promptly.
• Lead code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation and playbooks.
• Balance usability and performance tradeoffs, clearly communicating decisions to stakeholders.
• Meet deadlines and ensure smooth delivery of deliverables.
• Administer product upgrades and patches.
• Support team members with troubleshooting, maintenance, and production system support.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as required.
