Job Description

A laboratory technologist who applies clinical expertise in evidence-based laboratory

practice to provide education and support to the laboratory including both students

completing clinical rotations and laboratory teammates.

The Lab Educator provides direct support in the creation of educational curriculum and works in collaboration with

the system lab leaders, program chairs, and laboratory staff. This position requires an

individual to work with a high-level of independence, be a system thinker with strong

collaboration skills, excel in communication, and have a passion for creating and

delivering innovative educational solutions for leaders, students, and teammates.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least two years prior experience in a laboratory setting required and 5 years' experience.
• MT(ASCP), MLS (ASCP), M(ASCP), MB(ASCP), HTL(ASCP) or CT(ASCP) preferred. MT(ASCP), MLS (ASCP), M(ASCP), MB(ASCP), HTL(ASCP) or CT(ASCP) required as appropriate to perform clinical testing.
• Teaching experience
• ASCP M or MLS certification required.
• Clinical laboratory experience in bacteriology, mycology and virology.
• Experience as a trainer or lead.
