Senior Project Manager San Francisco

Education: Bachelors in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

About the Role:

Were seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial projects, build strong client relationships, and mentor junior staff while driving project success from planning through closeout. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the San Francisco office.

About You:

Youre an experienced project manager with deep knowledge of the construction and real estate industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments, anticipate challenges, and deliver proactive solutions. You enjoy mentoring, building collaborative relationships, and consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day project management, including schedule, budget, and consultant coordination
  • Act as primary client contact, guiding them through all project stages
  • Anticipate issues and resolve proactively
  • Oversee project reporting, vendor coordination, procurement, and contracts
  • Prepare documentation including RFPs, schedules, action logs, and meeting minutes
  • Support proposals, fee development, and client presentations
  • Represent the team in meetings with architects, contractors, and ownership groups

Qualifications:

  • 815 years of project management experience in commercial real estate or construction
  • Strong knowledge of the Bay Area market (permitting, vendors, local industry)
  • Experience across project types (tenant improvements, hospitality, education, ground-up)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar tools
  • Bachelors degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
