Offshore Project Controls Specialist

Job Summary
Are you a seasoned project controls professional with a passion for subsea engineering and complex project management? We are seeking an Offshore Project Controls Specialist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale subsea projects. In this critical position, you will lead planning, scheduling, and cost control efforts, providing the insights and controls necessary to keep projects on track, within budget, and aligned with contractual commitments. Your expertise will support seamless project delivery and drive performance excellence in a challenging offshore environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive planning and progress control systems tailored to the complexity of subsea EPC/EPCI projects.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules utilizing Primavera P6, ensuring accurate WBS/PBS structures and integration across all disciplines including engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, assess impacts, and recommend corrective actions to ensure milestones are met.
  • Prepare baseline schedules, progress measurement systems, and planning procedures, and clearly communicate requirements to all project teams.
  • Coordinate risk management activities, including risk identification, analysis, and monitoring mitigation strategies.
  • Update schedules by tracking actual progress, evaluating forecasts, and analyzing productivity and deviations to provide reliable project forecasts.
  • Maintain thorough records of project events, including progress, performance, claims, and obligations using company IT systems.
  • Contribute to project reporting by supporting Project Control Manager with status reports, change management inputs, and close-out documentation.
  • Support cost control activities through CBS development, variance analysis, cost monitoring, and reporting, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Project Controls, with a proven track record in subsea planning and scheduling within EPC/EPCI environment.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, including schedule development, integration, and maintenance across multiple project phases.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control processes, CBS development, and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
  • Experience with EDMS configuration, progress measurement, and project control reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of change management, MOC tools, earned value management, KPIs, and productivity analysis.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across international teams.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate multiple project controls activities in a dynamic offshore setting.
  • Certifications in project controls or related disciplines are a plus.
