Agentic Software Engineer

Summary Agentic Software Development is a new paradigm in which autonomous AI agents plan, build, and optimize software features with minimal human oversight. At Apex Health Solutions, we’re evolving from traditional data engineering to this agentic model—where intelligent agents, orchestrated by expert engineers, automate and enhance every stage of our healthcare technology lifecycle. As an Agentic Software Engineer , you’ll be part of a high-performing team that designs and delivers data solutions across the healthcare lifecycle—from care management to claims processing and operational visibility. You’ll work with modern cloud and development technologies to build scalable data pipelines, APIs, and analytics platforms, while also contributing to our agentic transformation. We’re looking for candidates who bring strong engineering fundamentals and are excited to explore the frontier of agentic software development. Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset are just as important as technical experience. Key Responsibilities Leverage AI-based techniques to design and build scalable data pipelines and integrations using Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, and related services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for agentic automation and intelligent workflows. Contribute to the development and deployment of autonomous agents that interact with data systems, monitor processes, and generate insights. Support data warehousing and analytics platforms using Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Power BI. Integrate elementary machine learning models and AI techniques to enhance data processing and decision-making. Ensure solutions are secure, compliant (e.g., HIPAA) and deployable in Azure. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience & Skills: 3+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms, or software development. Exposure to agentic software engineering, autonomous agents, or AI-based development is a plus. Familiarity with ClaudeCode, Codex, Github Copilot, or similar AI-based development tools. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, and related services. Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with data modeling and performance tuning. Familiarity with healthcare data standards and sources are a plus. Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies. Passion for innovation, automation, and transforming how software is built and operated.
