Job Summary

Northwest Career College is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Instructor for the Massage Therapy Program. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Guide students on professionalism and workplace expectations.
  • Oversee hands-on training activities per the NCC curriculum.
  • Provide constructive feedback aimed at enhancing students' hands-on skills.
  • Evaluate student practical examinations with fairness and transparency.
  • Facilitate online classroom discussions to encourage student engagement.
  • Assess student contributions to online discussions and various assignments.
  • Maintain regular communication through email with students and colleagues.
  • Assist with departmental tasks related to purchasing and inventory management.
  • Engage in professional development pertinent to teaching responsibilities.
  • Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, along with in-service training sessions.
  • Acknowledge and attend graduation ceremonies and key college events as needed.
  • Adhere to professional dress standards set by the college.
  • Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 2-3 years in the massage therapy field.
  • Required: Strong knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology.
  • Preferred: Experience as a Lead Massage Therapist or training others.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in massage therapy with a diploma, degree, or certificate.
  • Alternatively, at least 3 years of professional experience in massage therapy without a diploma, degree, or certificate.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Excellent ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current educational methodologies and techniques.

License/Certification

  • Required: Active Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy License.

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in the field.

Job Type

  • Part Time.

Schedule

  • Monday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Thursday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Friday-Sunday: Off.

Salary

  • $28,800 Annually - Based on work status, prior education, and experience.
