We are excited to immediately hire a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder

  • Hourly Pay: $27.50 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained (up to $700)
  • Quarterly Bonus: Earn up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Shift Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of gas or diesel engines, including:
  • Routine preventative maintenance, oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Minimum of two years of combined classroom training and work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
  • This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. You must:
  • Be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Pass a background and motor vehicle check including prior drug and alcohol verification

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Conduct standard vehicle maintenance
  • Perform standard component inspections and repairs
  • Execute preventive maintenance checks
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using available diagnostic tools
  • Identify the root cause of failures and perform required repairs
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Conduct facility maintenance as required
  • Interact with customers to address and resolve their concerns
  • Utilize Shop Management System functions for documentation
  • Adhere to all compliance guidelines
  • Perform additional support duties to bolster operations
