Back-End Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer (Back-End) to join our growing development team at Velocitor Solutions. The ideal candidate is a passionate problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes pride in delivering high-quality, scalable software, and enjoys mentoring others. Youll play a key role in developing and supporting robust solutions that power our enterprise platforms and services.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the development of secure, scalable, and maintainable applications. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, support junior engineers, and help drive the evolution of our software platforms.
Job Responsibilities- Develop secure, scalable, and highly maintainable software solutions from initial concept through production implementation and support.
- Support existing applications through troubleshooting, bug fixing, and upgrades.
- Drive feature development and lead medium to large initiatives.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including system diagrams and flowcharts.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold code quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA, Product, and DevOps for feature delivery.
- Stay current on new technologies and evaluate integration potential.
- Recommend improvements to enhance application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in software development with advanced knowledge of C# and .NET.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and experience using SSMS.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices including SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Proficient in Visual Studio, Git, CI/CD tools, and unit testing frameworks.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and using Postman.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a passion for mentoring others.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Committed to writing high-quality code and open to feedback through code reviews.
- Creative, persistent problem solver with a proactive and accountable work ethic.
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Experience working in agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience engaging with multiple levels of an organization, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
