Position Description
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join our dynamic Truck Fleet team at Ryder. This role is pivotal in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
- Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus: Earn $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
- Sign-On Bonus: $1250 after 30 days and another $1250 after 90 days
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification preferred.
- Basic tools required.
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance.
- At least two years of combined classroom training and work experience is preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to pass a series of Ryder assessments, including a drug test and a DOT physical.
Important Note: Additional screenings may be required depending on the position.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Conducting standard inspections and repairs.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues.
- Identifying root causes of failures and executing repairs.
- Assisting in facility maintenance duties.
- Engaging with customers to analyze and resolve issues.
- Following all safety and compliance guidelines.
