Seasonal Store Support Teammate (Part-Time)

The Store Support Teammate is responsible for fulfilling our mission statement, "to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests." Additionally, this position completes a variety of sales support tasks assigned by the Store Manager.

Pay range: $15 to $18/hr. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. For sales positions, Buckle pays a base rate plus commission on sales. The range listed is the estimated base rate plus commission for Teammates in this position.

  • Vacation is earned on a progressive schedule based on your role and years of service, starting at 40-80 hours or 120 hours, depending on employment status and prorated for the first partial year. Teammates earn 40 hours of sick time per year, prorated for the first partial year; up to 40 hours of sick time may be carried over from one year to another. Teammates also receive one floating holiday and up to three days of bereavement leave. Salaried teammates receive a paid volunteer day.

The following are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and provide legendary service to each Guest.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
  • Anticipate and fulfill Guest's needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience.
  • Demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies for payment and exchanges, and security practices.
  • Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
  • Provide legendary service throughout the store.
  • Knowledgeable of exchange and return procedures for Guests.
  • Fill out and use the Sales Presentation Guide daily to accomplish goals.
  • Meet or above performance standards in all business builders and guest loyalty.
  • Investigate and navigate to expand Guest selection.
  • Maintain and build good Guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
  • Lead by example with showmanship, excellent customer service, and attentiveness.
  • Passion to ask business-driven and showmanship questions.
  • Demonstrate personal dress code to encourage and coach Teammates in the latest fashion.
  • Recognize recruiting opportunities by utilizing Jobs & Careers cards, email referrals, and Teammate Recommend.
  • Train and educate new Teammates to meet and achieve Buckle's accountability, shift orientation, Loss Prevention, and sales presentation standards.
  • Maintain a positive attitude to create a positive floor culture.
  • Exhibit leadership actions during your segment.
  • Own and influence product through zone ownership.
  • Ensure Teammates are following visual standards.
  • Demonstrate all new tools and videos that apply to zone ownership.
  • Ability to execute and teach all Point of Sale ("POS") procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a professional, mature, and stable relationship with all Teammates.
  • Perform job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • Understand and execute all policies regarding payments, exchanges, and Loss Prevention practices.

Education and/or experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and jump; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The Teammate is occasionally required to sit. Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs throughout the store and backroom. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
