Frederick Fox has been retained to hire a Senior SWE for our Series C startup client in the SaaS/ Wealth Management space. This is a contract to hire role. We will prioritize candidates who are interested in converting to full time within 6 months of starting.

If you thrive on building robust, scalable web services using Go and creating intuitive user interfaces with React, we want to hear from you Youll play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our cutting?edge platforms, working in a collaborative, agile environment.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities & Required Qualifications
  • Backend Expertise: Strong experience with Go (Golang) for designing and building high?performance web services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL).
  • Database Skills: Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud?native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Best Practices: A strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including rigorous testing, thorough code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and version control using Git.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and comfort working in an agile or iterative product development environment, collaborating effectively with cross?functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice?to?Have)
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in fintech, wealth/retirement, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Architecture: Background with event?driven architectures or message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • System Design: Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Security: Familiarity with OIDC/OAuth2, SSO, and security best practices, particularly in financial applications.
  • Infrastructure: Experience with infrastructure?as?code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Design Patterns: Exposure to Domain?Driven Design (DDD) or similar architectural patterns.
