Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT exams in line with the standards of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and departmental procedures. You will need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of human anatomy, the nature of diseases, patient care, positioning, radiographic principles, and radiation safety.
  • Ability to ensure that written orders are correctly matched to requisitions before carrying out exams.
  • Expertise in administering contrast materials following standard techniques.
  • Effective management of patient flow to prioritize exams efficiently.
  • Communication with radiologists to relay critical information timely.
  • Maintenance of a clean and equipped department at all times.

Qualifications Required:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Florida State Registered Radiologic Technician credential.
  • Registration as an ARRT (R) (CT) is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited vocational school.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
