Position Overview:
The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) - OT/PT/SLP supports the Director of Rehabilitation in managing the daily operations of the therapy department, ensuring high-quality rehabilitation services, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and achievement of productivity goals. This position also serves as the hospital liaison, maintaining strong relationships with referral sources, coordinating smooth patient transitions from hospital to facility, and promoting the organization's rehabilitation programs within the healthcare community. The ADOR assists in supervising therapy staff, coordinating schedules, and fostering a patient-centered approach to care in physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' strengths, limitations, and goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies for independent living
- Document patients' progress and update treatment plans as needed
- Stay current with advances in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy by attending professional development opportunities.
- Newly licensed OT, PT, SLP are welcome.
- Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience is a plus.
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist, Physician Therapist, or Speech Therapist is an advantage.
- A valid and active California license to practice Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapist is required.
- BLS/CPR Certifications are required.
