Insight Global is looking for a remote Java Technical Lead to support a major security client. This role focuses on modernizing a customer-facing website in preparation for and during its go-live phase. The position involves developing and maintaining highly available web services hosted on AWS, with a future transition to GCP. The ideal candidate will lead projects, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements while ensuring high-quality software delivery. The daily responsibilities include 30% hands-on coding and 70% team management to ensure timely achievement of requirements. If you have advanced knowledge of Java, API architecture, and cloud-based hosting, along with experience in CI/CD solutions and containerization, we would love to hear from you.

10+ years of experience with Java 12 or higher
10+ years of experience with Spring Boot
Experience architecting, designing, developing, and consuming web services.
Extensive experience with Cloud Platforms (preferably GCP)
Extensive experience with Spanner or PostgreSQL
Excellent communication skills
Extensive lead experience in a large enterprise environment
Lead projects and assist in scheduling and coordinating project deliverables
Mentor and guide application developers and junior team members
Provide senior-level support in configuration, coding and documenting software specifications through the project lifecycle
