Join us to apply for the Digital Design Specialist (BIM Specialist) role at HGA.
This position is based in one of our California offices and focuses on providing Revit model support to architects, planners, and designers involved in project delivery.
Role Overview: The individual will manage Revit model setup and ongoing support for architectural models on active projects, primarily in California, with occasional work in other HGA offices. The role involves collaboration with the national Digital Practice Group (DPG) for standards and strategic initiatives, and includes responsibilities such as user support, troubleshooting, content development, and promoting BIM practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and maintain Revit models using HGA BIM standards.
- Manage Revit model health and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with BIM coordination and quality assurance.
- Ensure adherence to BIM execution plans and standards.
- Coordinate workflows with project teams and discipline leads.
- Attend coordination meetings and represent the team in Revit discussions.
- Develop project-specific content and maintain information continuity across applications.
- Configure and customize design and production applications.
- Provide training and technical support to staff.
Revit-Specific Tasks:
- Model setup, including starter files, linking models, and survey data.
- Model maintenance such as error clearing, troubleshooting, and file auditing.
- Coordination with disciplines, including sheet setup, exporting, and document archiving.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree with 2-5 years of experience in architectural projects using Revit.
- Understanding of construction types and project workflows.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and intermediate skills in Sketchup, Rhino, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Revit certification is preferred but not required.
Salary Range: $26.16 - $41.63/hour, based on experience and location. Benefits include bonuses, 401(k), parental leave, insurance, PTO, and disability programs.
