Position: Web Developer III

Work Schedule: On-site 2-3 days

Contract Type: Contract to Hire

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer III to join our team at our Cleveland Prospect Ave HQ.

Position Overview: As a Web Developer III, you will be an integral part of our development team, responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of web-based applications in the financial domain, focusing on areas such as Payroll, AR, and Accounting. The role requires expertise in Java development, familiarity with various frameworks, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather business requirements, analyze, code, and test web-based applications.
  • Develop and maintain web applications utilizing Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring Framework, and other relevant technologies.
  • Implement security measures for web applications and web services.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently to offer solutions for improving application performance and functionality.
  • Participate in the migration of Java-based projects and ensure the integration of new technologies.
  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain effective communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience, with 5+ years in J2EE development implementing web applications (Oracle 10g or higher as database).
  • Strong expertise in frameworks like Struts 1.x, Spring Framework, JBoss Application Server, ANT scripting, Maven, and reporting tools such as Jasper Reports.
  • Proficiency in Java scripting, XML technologies, and implementing SOAP and RESTful web services.
  • Experience with version control tools like CVS and GIT, UNIX shell scripting, JUnit, and SUN Solaris.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with JBoss Drools rule engine, micro-services architecture, design patterns, caching technologies, Angular JS, jQuery, Node.js, EAP 7.X performance tuning, and continuous integration/continuous delivery using Jenkins.
  • Business background in Financials area (Payroll, AR, Accounting) is a plus.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
