Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of accounting specialists across multiple business units, with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This role plays a key part in financial transactional oversight and acts as the primary accounting liaison at the site level. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in full-cycle accounting, leadership, and financial reporting to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, coordinating with the Controller and shared services teams.
- Review profit and loss (P&L) statements to ensure accuracy; initiate corrections and adjustments as necessary.
- Analyze financial results, explain variances to budget and forecast, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 5 years of direct people management experience, including managing remote teams.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools).
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
