Cost Accounting Manager

Our client, a healthcare company, is looking to bring on a Cost Accounting Manager to support their manufacturing operations and supply chain. This role will oversee cost reporting, variance analysis, new product costing, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cost accounting activities across manufacturing and supply chain, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and product costing
- Prepare and review journal entries, inventory accruals, reconciliations, and variance reports as part of monthly close
- Ensure bills of material and standard costs are accurate and updated for production
- Investigate inventory adjustments and provide clear reporting to management
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and quality teams to identify cost drivers and efficiency opportunities
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and annual physical inventory processes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA/CMA a plus)
- 6+ years of accounting experience, with a strong foundation in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
- Background in healthcare or healthcare manufacturing is a plus
- ERP experience (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate financial results effectively
- Knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting
This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days onsite in Irvine or San Diego depending on candidate location.
