As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of supporting patients facing challenges such as mental illness, addiction, and behavioral health crises. What You'll Do
Comprehensive Patient Care
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostics to identify patient needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized clinical treatment plans.
- Provide outpatient therapy tailored to adults and/or children with diverse mental health needs.
- Offer crisis intervention services, ensuring patient safety and immediate support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Build and sustain relationships with community organizations to support patient advocacy.
- Connect patients with mental health and public health resources in the community.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Conduct assessments to track patient improvement and adjust interventions as needed.
- Prepare detailed case summaries and discharge plans.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- License: Active LPC or LMSW licensure.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with the population served, including experience in:
- Conducting assessments and reviewing treatment plans.
- Delivering individual and family therapy.
- Providing crisis and behavioral interventions.
Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in evidence-based practices and psychosocial assessment.
- Strong treatment planning skills with the ability to adjust plans as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Proficiency in crisis stabilization and emergency decision-making.
- Familiarity with local mental health resources for patient referrals and advocacy.
