As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of supporting patients facing challenges such as mental illness, addiction, and behavioral health crises. What You'll Do

Comprehensive Patient Care

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostics to identify patient needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized clinical treatment plans.
  • Provide outpatient therapy tailored to adults and/or children with diverse mental health needs.
  • Offer crisis intervention services, ensuring patient safety and immediate support.
Team Collaboration and Community Engagement
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Build and sustain relationships with community organizations to support patient advocacy.
  • Connect patients with mental health and public health resources in the community.
Monitoring and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Conduct assessments to track patient improvement and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Prepare detailed case summaries and discharge plans.
What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • License: Active LPC or LMSW licensure.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with the population served, including experience in:
    • Conducting assessments and reviewing treatment plans.
    • Delivering individual and family therapy.
    • Providing crisis and behavioral interventions.

Skills and Competencies
  • Expertise in evidence-based practices and psychosocial assessment.
  • Strong treatment planning skills with the ability to adjust plans as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Proficiency in crisis stabilization and emergency decision-making.
  • Familiarity with local mental health resources for patient referrals and advocacy.
