This client has been in business for over 20 years, and is one of the leaders in mid-size healthcare and retail construction across the Southeast US. They are a mid-sized firm based in Birmingham, AL.
Their team of experienced construction professionals deliver excellence in both ground-up and interiors projects for a number of very noteworthy clients who remain loyal for a reason.

Client offers its employees a top-tier place to work by allowing flexibility with schedules to attend family events and other functions. They are well-loved by their repeat clients, and focus on pre-engineered metal structures, CMU buildings, and run all projects as the General Contractor from inception to completion.

They offer quarterly bonus opportunities in addition to their competitive benefits package, and require very minimal travel when compared to other GC's in their market space.

Job Description
  • Work alongside the Superintendent to oversee project staff for dedicated accounts
  • Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
  • Build and maintain rapport with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
  • Manage budget and financial reporting
  • Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions

The Successful Applicant
  • 5+ years' experience in Commercial Construction Project Management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management / related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with retail or healthcare projects, both ground-up and remodel
  • Excellent client-management skills
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Desire to grow career as a Project Manager and work for a mid-size GC
