Job Description:
  • Overall 10+ Years of experience
  • Looking for a seasoned Sr. Data Lead /Architect to guide a team of 6 Data Engineers in designing and implementing robust data architecture solutions.
  • This role emphasizes building a common data model, establishing data governance, and enabling data feeds for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML models across Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and lead the development of scalable data architecture, including designing a common data model that supports diverse data sources and downstream applications.
  • Drive data governance, ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance using Unity Catalog and best practices across cloud environments.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Unity Catalog for ingestion, transformation, and management of structured/unstructured data.
  • Lead integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring smooth integration and data consistency across Azure and AWS.
  • Develop and implement data transformation workflows; support reporting and analytics dashboards.
  • Enable AI/ML models by generating data feeds for training, inference, and analytics.
  • Work with JSON structures for front-end web applications and Hugo websites for content display.
  • Build ETL/ELT workflows ensuring traceability, lineage, and data quality.
  • Implement MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, establish governance policies, and lead knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading data engineering teams in building large-scale data architecture projects.
  • Strong expertise in Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Unity Catalog with Azure and AWS experience.
  • Skilled in designing common data models and implementing data governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in ingesting/transforming data for reporting, analytics, and ML/AI.
  • Experience creating JSON feeds for front-end display on Hugo websites.
  • Deep understanding of data security, privacy, compliance, and MLOps practices.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
