Private Credit Senior Associate

A Charlotte-based Private Credit firm is seeking a Private Credit Senior Associate to join their team. The firm invests in middle-market companies and has over a billion in AUM. The platform focuses on private market strategies designed to generate predictable cash flows, primarily through direct debt and equity investments secured by high-quality, collateralized assets. The platform specializes in asset-based lending (ABL), specialty finance, and private credit, offering investors access to differentiated opportunities in private markets. As a Private Credit Senior Associate, you will work on a lean deal team, gaining extensive hands-on transaction experience across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and portfolio management.

The Private Credit Senior Associate will be responsible for:
  • Execution of broader market and industry research
  • Financial modeling, valuation analysis, and returns analysis for various investment targets
  • Take point on due diligence processes
  • Monitor existing investment portfolio
  • Assisting the team with operating/portfolio company work
The Private Credit Senior Associate should have the following qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of Investment Banking experience performing M&A with a reputable middle market or lower middle market bank; related transaction advisory consulting experience will also be considered
  • 2-4 years of Middle Market Private Credit experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Superior financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills (there will be a modeling test)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional work ethic
  • Prior experience or interest in sectors such as business services, industrials, manufacturing and/or consumer
