Organizational Change Management Officer

PURPOSE
The SMC Organizational Change Management Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment of SMC's global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing risk, user resistance, and unnecessary customization. The individual will work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and end-users to understand processes and desired outcomes to ensure a smooth transition and desired outcomes for SMC globally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develop and execute Change Management plans and policies that include communication, training, and support strategies tailored to the ERP environment.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders
- Create and deliver engaging communication materials to inform and educate employees about the ERP system and its benefits.
- Design and implement training programs to ensure employees are proficient in using the new ERP system
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to managers and employees to facilitate the adoption of the ERP system.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management activities and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
- Identify and manage potential risks and resistance to change, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Track and report on change management progress and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Off-hour meetings and work to accommodate global time zones
- Carry mobile phone during work and off-hours
- Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace
- General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas
- Infrequent off-hours work and local/international travel as required
- Able to sit for extended periods of time
- Minimum lifting requirements of 15 pounds
- BA in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in change management, preferably, in ERP deployment or similar large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with associates at any experience level.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Certification in Change Management (e.g. Prosci, ACMP) is a plus
- Ability to travel abroad
