Description

Central New York Cardiology is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a team member, you will be responsible for helping us provide high-quality care to our patients with cardiac conditions by working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. In particular, you will diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribe medications and therapies, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

  • The hospital rotation consists of patient rounds (physical exam, review of labs, testing, medications) along with a partnered physician, and ordering appropriate testing, medications, or consultations. It also includes admitting, discharging, and cardiovascular consultations in accordance with all established protocols and standards of care.
  • Office rotation consists of follow-up appointments with established patients in the Utica or satellite offices, with approximately two patients per hour. Consultations with new patients will also be scheduled and the mid-level again is partnered with a physician for collaboration while conducting office visits/appointments.
