An employer in the insurance industry is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join the team in a fully remote capacity. This role will work closely with the Acquisition team and lead integration projects for newly acquired companies, ensuring their environments align with the client's Azure ecosystem and standards. The Enterprise Architect will spend the majority of their time within Azure infrastructure-covering Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure SQL and Azure Storage. A key responsibility will be leveraging Azure Compute to run cloud-based applications and spinning up infrastructure as needed. Beyond technical implementation, this role is highly collaborative and strategic. The Enterprise Architect will engage extensively with vendor teams, review proposed implementations, and ensure solutions meet organizational architecture standards. The position involves creating and reviewing architecture diagrams, defining data flows, and providing guidance during system design phases. Familiarity with AI resources in Azure is a plus, as the role may influence future AI-driven initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise or system architecture
Expert-level experience architecting within Azure Cloud, and working with Azure Landing Zones (ALZ)
Strong .NET background to design scalable cloud solutions
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Pulumi or Terraform
Ability to create and review architecture diagrams and data flow models
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
Experience reviewing implementations and ensuring compliance with organizational standards

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working with third-party vendors
Understanding of AI resources in Azure
Experience working with identity providers such as Okta
