Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for Substations - Full Time

We are on the lookout for a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with over 5 years of dedicated experience within the utility sector, either within a utility or in a consulting role focused on design engineering and reviews. The ideal candidate will possess a robust educational foundation in the design of steel and concrete structures, along with geotechnical engineering and foundation work. Proficiency in reviewing substation structure designs, rigid bus designs, foundation constructs, oil spill containment systems, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and fire walls is essential. This role will focus on design reviews of these civil/structural components to aid in the preparation of bid and construction packages for substation projects. You will primarily lead projects as a senior engineer, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior staff members. Expect site visits to client substation facilities and occasional travel for client meetings and industry events.

The successful candidate will be committed to quality control, safety practices, and adherence to project scope, schedule, and budgetary constraints. You will be a key member of a talented design team made up of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
• PE License Required
• SE Licensure is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MATHCAD software is required
• Experience with RISA 3-D, FAD, SAG10, and LPILE software is required
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation is required
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Previous project leadership is preferred

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
