The Associate Clinical Director will lead and supervise Clinical Directors across multiple centers. You'll be accountable for center performance, growth, and fostering a supportive team culture. You will also engage in direct patient care alongside your leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical outcomes and daily management of Medical Directors across assigned centers.
- Ensure successful operations and financial performance in the market.
- Mentor and coach Medical Directors to achieve outstanding clinical results.
- Facilitate talent development for clinical staff including PCPs and NPs.
- Promote a physician culture that aligns with our core values and service standards.
- Assist in onboarding new clinical practitioners.
- Participate in recruiting new PCPs and specialists.
- Build strong relationships with payers, specialists, and the community.
- Address workplace concerns to maintain a positive market culture.
- Review and approve referrals while managing market authorizations.
Additional Duties Include:
- Support market quality improvement initiatives.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews with clinical leadership.
- Provide training for other locations as needed.
- Develop relationships with local healthcare providers and stakeholders.
- Implement cost-effective clinical strategies.
- Deliver direct patient care as needed (20% of the role).
Qualifications:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a similar specialty is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; 3 years preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Director with Medicare or Medicaid populations is strongly preferred.
- Must hold an active medical license in your state.
- Proven clinical leadership experience with a track record of high performance.
- Experience in population risk management or chronic disease care is a plus.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills are essential.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and electronic medical records is required.
- Travel may be required up to 30% locally, regionally, or nationally.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is necessary.
Compensation:
Salary ranges from $250,426 to $357,752.
