What You'll Be Working On:

1. Drive pipeline and growth for 1-5 assigned Fortune 500 clients by nurturing existing business, selling new solutions, and identifying new opportunities within each account.
2. Manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying key contacts to outreach, qualifying leads, conducting discovery meetings, driving proposal processes, navigating paperwork, and closing deals while collaborating with the Research team and commercial partners.
3. Ensure effective sales tracking and reporting, including regular updates on sales activity, pipeline management, and CRM input, adhering to Morning Consult's sales methodologies.
4. Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to negotiate fair contract terms and ensure alignment between client needs and internal standards regarding contract modifications, requirements, and payment terms.
5. Work closely with Sales leadership, commercial teams, and other departments to meet Objectives and Key Results, exemplifying and upholding Morning Consult values.
6. Embrace continuous improvement through constructive feedback.
7. Represent Morning Consult as a knowledgeable ambassador, fostering relationships with clients and prospects through virtual and in-person engagements, including strategy meetings and industry events.
8. Be prepared to travel up to 30% of the time for client engagement.

About You and What You've Done:

• 10+ years of enterprise sales experience focused on custom solutions and consultative services; experience in data or market research firms is advantageous.
• Proven success in achieving quotas and driving growth through multi-million-dollar deals.
• Expertise in leading consultative sales cycles, including developing, proposing, and closing complex custom research solutions.
• Understanding of corporate marketing, communications, public affairs, and brand functions, particularly within global organizations.
• A strong intellectual curiosity, with the ability to synthesize data and articulate insights relevant to diverse audiences.
• A keen interest in marketing, communications, data, brand, or public affairs.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of building rapport with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills, thriving in cross-departmental environments.
• BS/BA degree or an equivalent qualification.

The expected salary range for this position is $124,900 - $205,500, with a midpoint of $165,200. We typically aim for the midpoint in new hire compensation, reflecting full proficiency in the role. This position also offers additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed during your initial conversation with our recruiter.
