Optometrist or Ophthalmologist - Veteran Medical Evaluations

Join our esteemed team at MRG Exams and play a vital role in conducting medical assessments that aid Veterans in the VA's disability benefits process. In this rewarding position, you will focus exclusively on comprehensive eye exams without treatment or medication prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
  • Review and analyze electronic medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Document exam findings accurately and complete necessary VA forms.

Note: This role is strictly assessment-based. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Position Details:
  • Schedule: Part-Time, 3-4 days per week
  • Location: In-person role.
  • Caseload: 4-6 Veterans per day on average.
  • Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation.

Requirements:
  • Active & unrestricted Optometrist or Ophthalmologist license.
  • Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Comfortable using technology for record review and documentation.
