Lead Software Engineer

The Lead Software Engineer - Marketing Technology will play a crucial role in enhancing our marketing technology framework by supporting integrations among our internal lead management systems, data pipelines, and third-party marketing platforms, focusing on paid media, lifecycle marketing, and call tracking. What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications and integrations that enhance our marketing technology ecosystem.

• Extend and optimize backend services using Ruby on Rails and Go, supporting various workflows, including lead management and data synchronization.

• Contribute to modern front-end applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript to elevate user experiences in marketing and analytics.

• Integrate internal systems with third-party marketing platforms via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.

• Implement and manage robust data flows between paid media, lifecycle marketing, call tracking, and analytics platforms to ensure seamless operation.

• Collaborate with analytics engineers and marketers to guarantee precise tracking, attribution, and data quality across digital channels.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code focused on reliability and scalability in production.

• Monitor, debug, and enhance application performance using advanced observability tools and logging frameworks.

• Engage in code reviews, share knowledge, and participate in architectural discussions within a fast-moving team.

• Contribute to automation and DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud configurations in Azure.

• Translate marketing and business requirements into effective technical solutions that refine lead quality and improve conversion tracking.

What You'll Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a full stack or backend software engineer, preferably in a data-intensive or marketing-focused setting.

• Strong skill set in at least two of the following: Ruby on Rails, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, or modern React frameworks, with a preference for Next.js.

• Experience with API integration, building ETL workflows, and working with event-driven systems connecting multiple platforms.

• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.) and ORM frameworks.

• Familiarity with containerized development and deployment (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.).

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable).

• Experience in designing, testing, and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs for internal and external use.

• Strong comprehension of digital marketing concepts, including attribution, campaign tracking, lifecycle automation, and data quality assurance.

• Ability to collaborate with analytics engineers and marketing teams to interpret data and validate end-to-end performance tracking.

• Proven track record in debugging complex data flows and ensuring system reliability across asynchronous processes.

• A curious, pragmatic, and collaborative nature, balancing short-term problem solving with long-term architectural improvements.
