J&L Medical Services is excited to welcome a Home Health Respiratory Specialist to our expanding team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for setting up home medical equipment, such as ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and other related devices. You will play a crucial part in educating and training patients on the proper use of their prescribed equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment, including CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and mechanical ventilators.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure safe and efficient functioning.
  • Review prescriptions and patient information to assess conditions and determine suitable treatment options, ensuring alignment with physician orders.
  • Maintain organized and complete patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with respiratory homecare techniques and relevant therapy concepts.
  • Be available for on-call duties after hours and on weekends as needed, with frequency determined by center size and staff availability.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Maintain certification, registration, or licensure by the relevant state or national board as required.
  • Possess a reliable personal vehicle for visiting patients in your assigned territory.
  • Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and auto insurance consistent with company policy.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and rehabilitation.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
