Saint Therese of Woodbury is seeking an experienced Life Enrichment Director to join our mission of serving seniors with compassionate, quality care. We offer 216 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments; and 56 skilled and transitional care units.

The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive therapeutic recreation programs that support the psychosocial, physical, cognitive, and spiritual well-being of residents. This role leverages staff expertise, family involvement, and community resources to create meaningful, enriching experiences. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, and some weekend rotation as manager on duty for the campus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and coordinating therapeutic recreation programs
  • Ensuring programs meet regulatory requirements and resident needs
  • Supervising and providing direction to departmental staff
  • Partnering with families and community organizations
  • Managing departmental operations, budgets, and documentation
Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, or a related health-care field
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of two years of Life Enrichment Director experience developing and implementing social or recreation programs is required.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of therapeutic recreation practices and relevant federal/state regulations
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead through change and model positive behaviors
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff

Salary Range: $50,000 - $72,000/annually based on experience

Saint Therese of Woodbury is now on a public transit roadway. Metro Transit is now piloting a new on-demand, shared ride service in a few areas around the metro, including a 13-square-mile area in Woodbury and parts of Oakdale and Lake Elmo. Metro micro will operate between 5:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on weekdays; 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekends.
