The Senior Analyst, ROC Business Analytics is a professional with a blend of technology expertise and a deep grasp of business dynamics. In this senior position, the scope of responsibilities reflects advanced understanding of data analysis and the ability to take a lead role in data-centric projects. They anticipate both current and future needs in the design of KPI's, reporting, data modeling and machine learning frameworks. Proficient in SQL and Python, they excel in feature engineering, converting raw data into insightful attributes driven by domain insights. The Senior Analyst serves in a mentor role for Analysts and Associates, providing guidance that fosters growth and innovation. Crucially, this position shapes the Business Analytics framework, charting the path forward for data-powered decision-making to maximize realizable revenue.
Responsibilities
- Formulate Analytic Strategies: Develop advanced analytic strategies and efficient tools that empower ROC to leverage data insights.
- Machine Learning Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in employing Python libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn and pandas to harness machine learning capabilities.
- Analyze Performance Metrics: Analyze diverse performance metrics within the ROC, encompassing claims, denials, collections, accounts receivable, and finance utilization, to uncover valuable insights.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Collaborate closely with ROC, IT, Epic and cross-functional teams to optimize realizable revenue by identifying collaborative opportunities.
- Spot Trends and Patterns: Identify, communicate, and act on trends and patterns present in intricate company, regional, and office-level data sets, driving realizable revenue.
- Data Transformation Expertise: Leverage Python, SQL, and Power BI to proficiently transform intricate data sets into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
- Build Analytic Solutions: Develop, maintain, and enhance ROC operational solutions, including scorecards, dashboards, and methods, using business analytics.
- Lead Data-Driven Solutions: Direct the design and execution of data-driven solutions that address business needs, fostering efficiency through reporting and automation.
- Methodological Accuracy: Implement rigorous analytical methodologies ensuring accurate and consistent reporting for informed decision-making.
- Validation and Change Management: Support organizational readiness and stakeholder analysis for validation and change management initiatives, contributing valuable insights.
- Priority Alignment: Collaborate with ROC weekly to align priorities and address their needs or requests effectively.
- Diverse Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- 6+ years of professional experience in addition to Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree, 5+ years experience. Master's Degree or equivalent work experience required in quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or similar), and 2+ years in a business analytics role in Revenue Operations.
- Experience in SQL Server and Python.
- Skilled in data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning frameworks.
- Significant experience designing, developing, and deploying complex data analysis projects.
- Background in healthcare analytics
- Experience with Epic EHR or Cogito Certification
- Experience with visualization in Power BI
- Certification or experience with Snowflake
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse (data modeling / ETL)
- Excellent understanding of data analysis and reporting best practices.
- Mentorship abilities with team members
- Working knowledge of development methodologies and tools.
- General understanding of Epic work queues and data structure.
- Experience providing automated processes, with error-handling and approved security parameters in place.
- Ability to communicate functional vision and establish aligned direction and goals on behalf of his/her department.
- Ability to translate vision into action, leading change, and inspiring people to get results.
- Ability to obtain and effectively allocate resources, and to create systems to measure results.
- Demonstrate increasing responsibility and successful execution of mission-driven events.
- Demonstrate strong facilitation and collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to draw valid conclusions; apply sound judgment in making decisions under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, comfortable presenting complex data in a simplified easy to understand format

- Data visualization: Visualizing data in a way that makes it easy to understand and use.
- Data validation: Validating the integrity of data sets, ensuring they're consistent with business rules and regulations.

Compensation Information
$93,000.00-$121,000.00 / Annually
