Level 2 PC Deployment Technician

  • 1st shift
  • Contract (Approx. 1.5-2 months)
  • Location: Arlington, Texas
  • Background check including MVR and fingerprint


Primary Responsibilities
• Execute advanced PC deployment tasks, including installation, configuration, and functional validation of desktops, laptops, and all-in-one systems.
• Set up peripherals such as monitors (single, dual, or triple), docking stations, printers, and webcams.
• Ensure structured cable management and workspace organization to meet customer standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and issue resolution for hardware and software-related problems without direct supervision.
• Assist with user profile setup, data migration, and imaging processes using approved tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM).
• Conduct post-installation walkthroughs or functionality checks to verify proper operation.
• Provide onsite support and guidance to Level 1 technicians and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• Support pilot deployments and help validate standard procedures for rollout phases.

Qualifications & Skills
• 2+ years of IT field experience, preferably in PC deployment or desktop support environments.
• Strong working knowledge of:
• - Windows OS (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
• - Imaging and re-imaging processes
• - Basic network setup (IP configuration, domain join, connectivity tests)
• Ability to read and follow scope-of-work documents, deployment runbooks, and floorplans.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with end users, team leads, and project managers.

Certifications
• CompTIA A+ certification is preferred.
• Other certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCP, Dell/HP tech certs) are advantageous but not required.

  • Background Check Requirements: Must pass a satisfactory criminal background check in accordance with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based guidelines upon hire. Must pass an MVR upon hire.
  • License Requirements: Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
