Our client, a leading organization in the technology and financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Java Developer with expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker to join their dynamic team.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of the IT Development Department supporting enterprise-level containerized application projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Java/Openshift Developer

Location: Chicago

W2 only

What's the Job?

  • Design, implement, and manage containerized Java applications on OpenShift platform

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable microservices-based solutions

  • Ensure system security, resiliency, and optimal performance through best practices

  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support deployment, maintenance, and technical documentation for enterprise applications

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience with Java development and container orchestration

  • Extensive experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker in enterprise environments

  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
