We are currently seeking a skilled Lead Full Stack Software Developer to join our Distribution and Underwriting team within the Global Risk Solutions organization. This role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital ecosystem and support the modernization of our platforms. This position has a hybrid work schedule with 2 days onsite and is open to candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX, Indianapolis, IN, and Columbus, OH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Problem Solver: Go beyond developing code – create comprehensive deployment guides and maintain robust software solutions.
  • Customer-Centric Engineer: Understand and translate client needs into effective technical applications and support new software implementations.
  • Motivated Mentor: Utilize your expertise to coach and collaborate with junior engineers, sharing best practices.
  • Forward Thinker: Proactively identify opportunities for performance, efficiency, and quality enhancements in our systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Typescript, Angular, Spring Boot, JavaScript (NodeJS, Angular), AWS technologies, Microservices architecture, and REST API design. Experience with Directus and other CMS applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.
  • Hands-on experience with software architecture, layered designs, and shared software concepts.
  • Experience with containers such as Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • A strong background in agile methodologies.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with excellent negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Superior decision-making capabilities with experience in navigating complex business landscapes.
  • Proficiency in multiple object-oriented programming languages.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members while being able to work independently.
  • Knowledge in the Surety Domain is a plus.
