About the role

Seeking a mid-level Business Continuity Planner to provide on-site consulting services in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in continuity of operations planning within federal organizations, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to engage with senior executives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical continuity and emergency management programs in a dynamic federal environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and refine continuity of operations plans for a large federal organization.
  • Conduct Business Process Analysis and Business Impact Analysis to support continuity planning.
  • Coordinate with plan stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with federal continuity policies.
  • Facilitate working group sessions and meetings with mid and senior-level executives.
  • Develop and present quality deliverables and reports for executive leadership.
  • Support training, testing, and exercises related to business continuity and emergency management.
  • Maintain documentation and graphical representations of continuity plans.
  • Deploy as needed for emergency response and continuity operations.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in Continuity of Operations (COOP) and/or Business Continuity focused on plan development and maintenance.
  • Proven experience conducting Business Process Analysis and Business Impact Analysis.
  • Knowledge of federal continuity guidance, policies, and ISO 22301 standards.
  • Experience developing and maintaining COOP plans with quality assurance and graphical design.
  • Ability to coordinate continuity plan requirements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with experience interacting with senior and mid-level executives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong technical writing and report development skills.
  • Ability to deploy for emergency situations.
