Full-Stack .NET Developer: Financial Services Focus
100% Remote working on Central or East Coast time zone schedule

Summary
  • This position will be working faily independently in the Asset Backed Financials space, working closely with the business to understand business/financial processes, and investment goals
  • This person will gather requirements, document requirements and play the role of the BA
  • Then, this person will develop full-stack .NET applications from scratch, in a greenfield environment, to drive efficiencies into business processes and create more productive investment analysis
    • Tech stack:
      • .NET/C#
      • SQL databases
      • Blazor is used on the front end (C#) or Angular
      • Entity Framework
      • Azure CI/CD
      • Microservices development approach
  • This person will also be deploying their own applications as well in an Azure environment -- DevOps experience not required, something they are willing to train on, but need someone that is eager to learn and grow their skill set

What you'll be doing
  • Build full-stack applications with .NET, C# and Blazor in an Azure environment
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to understand business goals
    • Analyzing investment data, making detailed inferences or attributions
    • Assessing complex financial models for opportunities to make efficiency improvements
  • Building applications and making enhancements to existing applications (mainly a greenfield environment right now with new development) to drive efficiencies
    • Using the latest technology tools to improve the efficiency and/or reduce the complexity of Excel workflows
    • Writing code that ingests and exports data to/from Excel and databases
    • Translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for usage on a website application
    • Adding various time-saving and helpful features to our family of .NET Core website applications
    • Using Blazor and/or Angular to develop the front-end for maximum usability
  • Deploying applications in an Azure environment
Skills we're seeking
  • Bachelor's Degree is required, ideally in Computer Science, IT or finance related field
  • Must have experience in financial services, ideally in the mortgage industry
  • 3+ years of experience with .NET/C# Development
  • Must have strong SQL database experience, ideally Azure SQL but PostgreSQL or SQL Server also work
  • Must have at least some front-end development experience, ideally with Blazor or Angular (React also works)
  • Must have at least some Azure experience
  • Must have experience working with business stakeholders to gather business requirements for software applications, ideally in an financial services setting
Nice to haves:
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Microservices
  • Experience working with complex Excel financial models
  • Master's degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
