Business Analyst 3 for a REMOTE position based out of Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an UI/UX Business Analyst with minimum 5 years' experience to work with an existing software development team in an agile/scrum environment.
  • The candidate will review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to solutions under development.
  • Duties will include functional and non-functional specifications, uses cases and system design specifications, conducting effective joint applications development and brainstorming sessions, and interviewing subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather requirements.

Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a business systems analyst for medium to large projects.
  • ble to communicate and collaborate with agile delivery teams and other technical staff, business partners and vendors.
  • ble to accurately define and capture project requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • ble to document business processes and data flow diagrams.
  • ble to write UAT test scripts from use cases and proficient in UAT testing.
  • ble to identify and document project risks and actions to mitigate risks.
  • ble to track requirements throughout lifecycle of SDLC cycle.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, VISIO, Draw.io, ADO, JIRA and Confluence.
  • nalytical and able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
