Power Equipment - Department Head

Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on Duty
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly, Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Help customers with special order requests and locating merchandise.
  2. Educate customers with product knowledge and greet each customer within 10 ft.
  3. Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise for multiple departments.
  4. Have basic knowledge of Farm & Home Supply web-based Intranet and the Outfitter.
  5. Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
  6. Review and correct outages and overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
  7. Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads and sale signage.
  8. Identify and display new items at their designated location with Management approval.
  9. Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps, and displays.
  10. Ensure a safe and clean work environment, while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
  11. Perform regular area safety checks throughout the store or as needed or requested by management.
  12. Attend store and job-related meetings as well as review the F&H Weekly Update distributed to each store every Monday.
  13. Communicate in a professional manner with customers, management, and all store employees.
  14. Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  15. Assist with price changes, markdowns & labeling of merchandise.
  16. Operate cash registers and assists with customer carry outs.
  17. Flexible schedule with capability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  18. Capable of lifting up to and including 80 lbs.
  19. Maintain and control organized stock room area.
  20. Complete required online Job Training available on our Outfitters website.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete special projects directed by management with additional responsibilities that may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
  • Minimum Age requirement is 18 years old.
  • Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
  • Six months of previous retail experience is preferred.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
