GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Maintenance Associate/Mail Courier is responsible for performing light construction, general maintenance, and custodial duties to ensure that all facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained. In addition, this position supports courier functions, ensuring the secure and timely delivery of letters, packages, and documents between all OIP locations. This role requires excellent time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Regular travel between OIP locations is required, and candidates must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintenance
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Assist with office setups, furniture moves, and general facility organization.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance work.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report issues promptly to the manager.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Pick up and deliver mail, packages, supplies, and equipment between locations as scheduled.
- Ensure all deliveries are handled securely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Maintain delivery records and ensure confidentiality of materials transported.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Operate company vehicle safely and in accordance with company policies and traffic laws.
EDUCATION
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of general maintenance experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
