Overview
Our client is a leader in the financial services industry, generating over $4B in annual revenue and recognized nationally for its stability, growth, and people-first culture. They're seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger activities, financial reporting, and month-end close while leading a small team in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes, partnering with senior leadership, and helping guide the next generation of accountants.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses prepared by staff accountants
  • Manage general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, maintaining strong internal controls
  • Lead consolidation of subsidiary entities and prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Partner with the Controller on cash management, banking activities, and audit readiness
  • Drive process improvements and system efficiencies within the accounting function
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to accounting team members
  • Support special projects, system implementations, and management reporting initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
  • 6-10 years of related and progressive accounting experience
  • CPA and/or Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Strong ERP system experience
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously and manage multiple deadlines
