Vice President of Treasury Management

In this pivotal role, you will engage with multiple departments, leveraging quantitative insights to enhance decision-making throughout the organization. The Treasury department oversees all aspects of cash management, funding, and risk management, ensuring that Affirm has adequate liquidity to meet its operational and strategic objectives. The right candidate will not only possess technical expertise but will also excel in communication, enabling effective collaboration across teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead all Treasury activities in both U.S. and international markets, ensuring effective cash management, funding strategies, and comprehensive risk management practices.
  • Develop strategic funding plans and optimize capital allocation to guarantee liquidity for operational needs and growth initiatives.
  • Manage ongoing reconciliation, forecasting, and financial reporting activities, including overseeing the Treasury team's contribution to information collection and thorough analysis for corporate and SEC filings in collaboration with Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis teams.
  • Work closely with Capital Markets, Engineering, Product, Credit Analytics, and Internal Audit on reporting projects related to Treasury functions.
  • Assist Finance and leadership teams during the annual budget process, focusing on optimizing corporate capital structures and liquidity planning efforts.
  • Lead the development and execution of hedging strategies, cash reconciliation systems, bank connectivity solutions, and effective Treasury controls.
  • Stay informed on regulatory requirements relating to interest rate and foreign exchange risk, capital, and liquidity, providing recommendations for new products and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain analytical reporting frameworks for senior management, risk committees, and the Board, enhancing visibility and informed decision-making.
  • Build and manage partnerships with external banking institutions, rating agencies, and corporate insurance providers for strategic corporate initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years in financial services with substantial Treasury or relevant experience (20+ years total professional experience). Experience in specialty finance or lending is a plus.
  • BA/BS required; CFA or similar qualifications are highly desired.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured finance products, particularly within the consumer sector.
  • Proven track record in executing corporate unsecured financing transactions.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling including framework design, validation, governance, and automation.
  • Strong background in interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange risk management, reporting, stress testing, and collateral requirements.
  • Familiarity with asset-liability management and corporate capital structure optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish robust Treasury processes and implement Treasury management systems (e.g., GTreasury), along with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders in dynamic settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly for senior-level presentations.
  • Able to adapt and succeed amid changing demands and organizational priorities.

Base Pay Grade: W

Equity Grade: 23

New employees at Affirm generally start at the beginning of the pay range. We emphasize a simple and transparent pay structure based on various factors including location, experience, and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, technology spending, and comprehensive benefits (including 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents).

USA base pay range per year: $340,000 - $380,000
