About This Role:
Join our dedicated team as a Physical Therapist in the Centralized PRN Pool with opportunities to work across four MedStar Health facilities. Weekend coverage is required.
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch physical therapy services to patients, which includes screening and evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning across diverse healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations, reviewing historical data and performing specific assessments. Clearly explain evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, actively including them in goal setting.
Exhibit proficiency in implementing treatment protocols tailored to evaluation findings, patient presentations, and the dynamic healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary and document any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments in the care plan.
Perform comprehensive discharge planning and ensure follow-up care is in place. Accurately document and charge for patient care activities to create a clear record of the patient's treatment journey.
Manage your time effectively while meeting productivity standards. Maintain an organized schedule and demonstrate a commitment to providing seamless patient access through flexibility, empathy, and proactive behaviors.
Take initiative in pursuing continuing education for your professional development and that of the organization. Serve as a clinical instructor for students and assist with the orientation and mentoring of new staff and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensure in Maryland, DC, or Virginia as appropriate for your specific location(s).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
The pay rate for this position is USD $55.00 per hour.
