JOB TITLE: Automation Engineer

LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ day X onsite

SUMMARY:

The QA Automation Engineer for Credit and Fraud Risk Technology ensures the quality of software applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation across risk infrastructure. As part of the Credit & Fraud Risk Technology group, this role involves contributing to the testing strategy, framework, and execution, including in-sprint, SIT, and UAT testing efforts for the digital bank's mission-critical decisioning infrastructure.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Write and execute test cases for various applications.
  • Create and maintain API automation scripts.
  • Conduct system performance tests to ensure reliability, capacity, and scalability.
  • Implement database automation testing.
  • Test complex systems with multiple integration points.
  • Perform migration testing to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • X+ years of experience in designing, planning, and executing tests for APIs and web services.
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on automation.
  • Strong technical skills in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with GitLab, CI tools like Jenkins, and test management tools like JIRA.
  • Experience in testing complex systems with multiple integration points.
  • Experience in migration testing.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in the banking industry preferred
