Join us and become part of an inclusive team. Client Overview: Our client is a healthcare company looking to add a Patient Services Associate (Customer Service) to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $19/hr - $22/hr, Depending on experience Position Overview: The Patient Services Associate (Customer Service) is responsible for accurately coordinating, scheduling, and completing registration for ambulatory outpatient visits. This role involves handling high-volume inbound calls, collecting and verifying patient demographic and insurance information, and assisting patients with scheduling and preparation requirements. The Patient Services Associate (Customer Service) serves as the first point of contact for non-clinical patient inquiries, ensuring professional and efficient communication in a fast-paced call center environment. Responsibilities of the Patient Services Associate (Customer Service):
  • Coordinate and schedule outpatient appointments for assigned departments.
  • Collect patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information as required for scheduling.
  • Verify insurance coverage and communicate patient financial responsibilities.
  • Explain patient preparation requirements and coordinate with clinical teams on scheduling protocols.
  • Respond to non-scheduling requests or route calls appropriately.
  • Answer 50 - 75 inbound calls daily, ramping up to 75 - 100 calls per day.
  • Accurately document all interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Utilize call center systems to manage calls efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all compliance standards.
  • Participate fully in training and ongoing performance evaluations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Patient Services Associate (Customer Service):
  • Previous call center or customer service/retail management experience.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
