The Business Analyst for Unclaimed Property Solutions will play a crucial role in gathering information and analyzing solution performance to effectively capture business requirements. You will prioritize functionality enhancements and contribute to future releases by collaborating closely with users, solution owners, designers, and developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with stakeholders, including external clients and internal teams.
  • Conduct interviews to understand unclaimed property business processes and solution integration.
  • Document detailed business processes and prepare business requirements to address solution gaps.
  • Collaborate with product owners to comprehend system functionality and design roadmap.
  • Analyze existing business and system processes, recommending improvements.
  • Identify gaps between solution functionality and business processes, recommending enhancements.
  • Utilize various software tools for job functions.
  • Evaluate new product releases to ensure business requirements are met, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with the ability to facilitate discussions.
  • Quickly acquire familiarity with complex technologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in deliverables.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC, Agile, etc.) is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred.
  • 2 to 4+ years of experience in requirement gathering.
  • Extensive experience modeling business processes and producing process documentation in IT or consulting roles.
  • Knowledge of unclaimed property taxes in the U.S. and Canada is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and Internet navigation.
  • Prior experience with unclaimed property software is highly desirable.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment with occasional long periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Regular interaction with employees at all levels as well as external vendors and clients.
  • Potential independent travel requirement of up to 5%.

Compensation:

  • For California-based roles, the salary range is $85,000.00 - $112,200.00.
  • For Colorado-based roles, the salary range is $74,500.00 - $98,175.00.
  • The Company considers qualifications and experience in determining offers. Some roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
