Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team works on UI on Air and Gravity and the car related android functions. Particularly settings, owner's manual and release notes, system UI, HAVAC, car settings, etc.
• Key projects: See JD.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of:
- Engineer that can do Android work at the Senior engineer level
- Device work
- Bug fixing

• Years of Experience Required: 5-6 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree is required to be eligible for this role.
• Disqualifiers: N/A
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain:
- Android auto experience
- Previously worked at Samsung, Google, etc. and understand how devices work.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work.
Hard Skills Assessments
• Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP
• Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1-2 rounds with the team.
• Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should be prepared to discuss technical and behavioral questions in the 1st round and the final round will be a coding assessment.

The Role:
• Collaborate with the User Experience Design and Product Teams: Partner with our talented UX designers and Products to define, scope, and refine user-facing features and interactions, ensuring an exceptional and intuitive user experience.
• Design and Implement Cutting-Edge In-Vehicle Software: Leverage the latest platforms, frameworks, and SDKs to create and deliver high-quality software that powers our advanced infotainment systems.
• Optimize System Performance: Work closely with our platform software engineers to analyze and fine-tune the system, achieving a highly responsive and seamless user experience.
• Resolve Issues with Precision: Diagnose, analyze, and address relevant issues based on rigorous testing and user validation, ensuring a reliable and flawless product.
Minimum Requirements:
• Extensive Experience: Over 5 years of industry experience in Android development, with a proven track record of successfully shipping Android software products.
• In-Depth Domain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in software development on the Android system, having worked with multiple areas of the Android SDK and APK.
• Proficient in Java and Kotlin: Expertise in both Java and Kotlin programming languages, enabling you to write clean, well-structured, and efficient code.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using IDEs, managing source code, conducting unit testing, performing code reviews, tracking issues, and analyzing graphics performance.
Preferred:
• Passion for user interactions and doing so with excellence.
• Desire and willingness to constantly learn new knowledge and skills.
• Experience in automotive development a big plus.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively.
