PROJECT MANAGER - CIVIL CONSTRUCTION (SITE WORK)

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee site construction projects in the Baltimore Metro area, collaborating with the Senior Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure success. Specializing in grading, excavation, demolition, erosion control, stormwater management, and paving, we focus exclusively on local projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Interpret drawings/specifications and address ambiguities.
  • Perform scope/quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.
  • Prepare project correspondence, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Track material deliveries and oversee procurement.
  • Assist in preparing payment requisitions and drafting change orders.
  • Administer subcontracts and ensure compliance with scope and quality standards.
  • Support project closeouts, including as-built documentation, punch lists, warranties, and owner turnover.
  • In-office position, with occasional site visits (½ day per week on average).
  • Take ownership of projects from contract execution to closeout.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Other Essential Functions

  • Background in construction estimating or management, with site work experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and project management or estimating tools.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable individual.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Eager to learn and grow within the company's framework.
